Landon and I carved his first pumpkin last night. I cut the top off and he wouldn't even think about touching the pumpkin guts! He just kept saying, "No!" He did take a spoon and try to scoop out some guts and he enjoyed carrying the lid around the kitchen flinging pumpkin guts all over the floor!

Wonderful Weekend
I have wonderful pictures to post of our great weekend! We were surprised by our visitors from the north, Grammie, Grandpa, and cousin Brayden! Landon and Brayden played, read books, took a bath together, rode in the wagon to see the boats and playground. We saw two bald eagles at the marina! They had a great time and we enjoyed watching them! Landon had a really hard time waking up this morning to go to Nana's for the day! I bet Brayden sleeps the whole way home! Grammie and Grandpa had a great time hanging out with both boys. Grandpa hadn't seen Landon since July! I will try to post my great pictures tonight!

It was odd...
...to not have my little man at home when I was! I'm sure he had a great night at Nana's though. I did get a few things done but I sure missed him! I think the dogs missed him too. Well, they might have missed Rob more but.... I got him another new construction truck last night. I left it for him to find by his toy box. It was one he picked out when we were at Walmart the other night. I'll post more pictures this weekend. I need to get some bathtime pictures here!

New Trucks!
I'll miss you!
Landon Joe is spending the night with Nana. I saw him briefly this morning. He was so sweet sitting in his crib, pretending he was still sleeping, sucking his thumb and trying not to smile! He does that every morning. He'll be sitting up when we walk in and he throw himself back onto the mattress and pretend to sleep. He likes to have his legs rubbed then! If we pretend to leave his room he pops up quicker than you can imagine! He's such a sweetheart.
We went to Walmart last evening for some new toys. We bought an Elmo chair that he loves and two new trucks. He took his trucks to bed with him last night! I have pictures I need to upload of him sleeping next to his trucks!

New pants
So, Landon needed new pants. 18 months fit his waist but are too short. I found some 24 months, not 2T's, that seem ok in the waist. 24 months clothes and 2T's are different! Who knew? I might have to tuck them but hopefully they're not too long. I also found the cutest pair of little red Converse sneakers in Rack Room shoes. I didn't think twice about paying $17.99 for a pair of size 5's that he's not going to fit into in two or three months, if even that long! They are so dang cute and he looks adorable in them. Small splurge and I'm already pretty frugal so it's ok! I took some pictures but will post them later. The little man is in bed after having some milk and cookies. We had some Chick fil A for dinner at the food court. We rode in three of the four kiddie rides in the mall. I ran out of quarters for the fourth one! He didn't seem too bummed out though so we just cruised back through Target. Amazingly enough he didn't fall asleep on the ride home. There's a house down the street that has a white ghost in their front yard that they light up at night. They have lighted pumpkins hanging up too. He likes to walk down there and see the ghost! It's chilly and windy so I hope tomorrow is nicer so we can go to the park. He loves the park and it tires him out for naptime!
Lazy Saturday Morning
Little Drummer Boy
So Daddy brought Landon to my band room last night to hear the kids play. It ended up raining so hard they couldn't even do the The National Anthem for the football game. But before I made the decision not to perform the band got dressed and started to warm up. They noticed that Landon danced to the music so they played the entire half time show for him! He had a great time and really enjoyed the band kids! He got a hold of a pair of bass drum mallets and wouldn't let them go!
He's singing with the band in this picture!

At the park - Pictures added 10/28
Landon loves the water. These photos are from last weekend when we went to the park. There are two playgrounds, the pier and lots of places to walk. He loves pine straw and you can see the wad in his hand. He held onto the same wad the entire time we were at the park! He didn't like the Daddy long legs and told it to stop coming towards him!
At home he likes to walk/ride in his wagon to the marina and look at the boats and water. He really enjoys his bath too. I'll have to post some bath time pictures next!

What does Landon want to be when he grows up?
Boys being boys
The worst thing about being a Mom to a boy is the boo-boos they cause themselves! Landon has had two black eyes, scrapes, and numerous bruises. Especially when he was learning to walk and now that he looks at everything but where he's going he falls a lot. He loves airplanes and every time he hears one he immediately looks up and he doesn't also stop going forward. This is especially hazardous when he's running! I hate it when he hurts himself!
I also hate it when he's sick. He recently had two back to back colds. The second one required antibiotics to get rid of. His little nose just ran and ran. He now likes to pull Kleenex out of the box or toilet paper off of the roll and blow his nose! He is a great nose blower and how he learned I have no idea! I just held a Kleenex up once and said blow and he did! He's just a smart boy!
